2008 ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING

The Oldman Watershed Council's 4th Annual General Meeting was a success!

 

The day started off with a Welcome from our Chair – Gerhardt Hartman, and our Executive Director – Stephanie Palechek. Following the welcome, everyone split up into concurrent sessions.
The session speakers and topics included:

 

After the concurrent sessions, everyone gathered back together. The Financial Report was given, followed by elections for the 3 Member at Large positions on the Board of Directors, and Team updates.

After lunch, we held a panel discussion with the theme “Making a Difference in you Watershed”. Following the panel discussion, Dory Rossiter introduced our Youth Essay Contest Winners. This year’s winners were: Emilee Kaupp, Arnold T. Walter, and Michelle T. Walter.

Our day ended with an uplifting and enlightening talk from our keynote speaker, Simon Jackson. Simon is the founder of the Spirit Bear Youth Coalition.

Throughout the day, a Silent Auction was held with the proceeds going to a Watershed Stewardship Group within the Oldman Basin. The winning Watershed Group is the Waldron Watershed Group.
