2006 ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING

Our 2nd Annual General Meeting was a success!

On March 22, 2006 we held our 2nd Annual General Meeting. We had around 115 people attend and the day went really well. The day started out with Team updates and Future Work Plans, as we heard from the Communications and Outreach Team, the State of the Watershed Team, Data Collection and Integration Team, the Urban BMP Team, and the Rural Team. The election process was then held before lunch.

In the afternoon we announced the photo contest winner, and had a slide show presentation of all the photos that were submitted. We then heard from our Keynote Speaker, Tina Thrussell from Best U Can B Inc. Tina had us standing up and moving around as she talked about the importance of volunteerism. We ended the day with Steward Rood, who talked about the environmental effects of flooding.

We'd like to thank everyone who came out and we hope to see you all again next year. A special thanks to our sponsors: Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada - PFRA, and the Alberta Ingenuity Centre for Water Research.
