2007 ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING

Our 3rd Annual General Meeting was a success!

On March 15, 2007 we held our 3rd Annual General Meeting. We had around 120 people attend, and the day went really well. We decided to try something new and host the event in the afternoon and evening rather than for just the day. The afternoon began with an introduction and Board update and a financial update, followed by an update from our Urban Team and Data Collection and Integration (DC&I) team.

The afternoon continued on with a presentation from our guest speaker, Ms. Karen Emde with Capital health, who presented us with information on Watershed Protection and Protection of the Public's health. We then heard updates from the Communications and Outreach Team, Rural Team, and State of the Watershed Team. We held an election process for our Member at Large spot on the Board. Gerhardt Hartman was re-elected into that position.

After a delicious dinner, we heard from Dennis Fitzpatrick, who updated us on the changes that would be involved with the new Alberta Water Research Institute. We then heard from our keynote speaker, honorable Rob Renner - Alberta Environment Minister.

We'd like to thank everyone who came out and we hope to see you all again next year.
